‘People are often surprised that someone like me — so deeply connected to the sea, someone who finds all the answers in nature — could be so enchanted, so in love, so utterly captivated by a loud, chaotic city like New York.

But the truth is, my heart belonged to New York long before the sea ever came crashing into my life. These two energies — seemingly so opposite, so irreconcilable — somehow reflect my soul perfectly. They speak to who I am, how I live, and what I dream of becoming. The sea inspires and teaches me, while New York reminds me just how big my dreams are — dreams born from creation itself. And this collection was born in my mind on an early morning walk by the sea, just after I had returned from New York.’
